Adriaan Bouten - McGraw-Hill
Adriaan L. Bouten is senior vice president and chief information officer for the Information & Media segment of The McGraw-Hill Companies, including BusinessWeek, J.D. Power and Associates, a network of four broadcast stations, and business-to-business publications and services in the construction, energy and aviation markets.  In this role, Adriaan leads technology initiatives that drive revenue growth, enhance productivity and promote Information & Media brands.  He works closely with Corporate Technology to ensure best practices and strategic alignment with the Corporation’s goals.

Prior to being appointed to this position in May 2006, Adriaan was a key leader in the USATODAY.com management team.  As a proven innovative manager, he combined daily operational excellence with strategic technical vision to transform the Technology function into an asset for USATODAY.com.
 
Following more than ten years of consulting and audit functions with Cap Gemini and Ernst & Young, Mr. Bouten moved on to provide Information Technology leadership at a multi-billion dollar health care provider, before expanding his passion for technology and publishing in the mid-1990s at trade publishing companies.  He was the key force behind ebuild.com, an Internet venture that he led as President for the first year of operations before joining USATODAY.com in 2000.
 
A native of The Netherlands, Mr. Bouten holds an MS degree from Georgetown University and holds a CPA from the state of Virginia .
