Catherine Captain joined MSNBC.com in 2005 as Vice President of Marketing. In addition to serving on MSNBC.com’s five-person executive team, Captain leads all marketing efforts including brand marketing, consumer research, product strategy, business development, event marketing, graphic design and public relations.
Prior to joining MSNBC.com, Captain spent nearly a decade in marketing roles at USA TODAY. Originally from North Carolina, she received her master’s degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from Northwestern University and her undergraduate degree in English and Journalism from the University of Iowa.
